Radiesse for Hand Rejuvenation

1Volume loss is a common symptom of the natural aging process, and this concern can affect more than just the face. The backs of the hands also have delicate skin that can gradually lose the fatty tissue and elasticity that are hallmarks of youth. As a result, tendons and veins can become more visible. Fortunately, Radiesse®, a volumising dermal filler, is FDA approved to rejuvenate these areas. Our experienced physician  Dr. Shehla Ebrahim and offer this fast-acting, innovative treatment at our state-of-the-art skin care practice.

Radiesse® is made up of a substance called calcium hydroxylapatite, which is a biocompatible material that can instantly plump the skin to disguise prominent veins and tendons. Additionally, Radiesse® is designed to stimulate collagen production for more youthful-looking hands over time. Another benefit of this technique is the long-lasting effect. Once administered, the result typically lasts one to two years, and occasional touch-up treatment can extend the outcome further.

When you arrive for your initial consultation, Dr. Ebrahim will develop a customized hand rejuvenation plan with your needs and goals in mind. Radiesse® is injected using an ultra-fine needle, and a topical anaesthetic and/or cold compresses can be utilised to enhance your comfort. The procedure usually takes 30 to 60 minutes to complete, depending on the size of the treated area and other factors. You should see immediate results.

Radiesse® is a versatile dermal filler that can add volume to the backs of the hands as well as the face. For more information about this treatment, or if you would like to schedule a complimentary consultation, please contact us today.
