Laser Resurfacing of the Eye Area
At Ambleside Dermedics, we believe in non invasive treatments that enhance natural beauty. The before and after photo of our patient above demonstrates the amazing results you can achieve from non invasive/surgical treatments. Laser Skin Resurfacing using the “gold standard” Sciton Contour Laser technology gives you the ability to achieve incredible results in reducing deep wrinkles, epidermal nevi, actinic keratoses, hypertrophic scars, surgical scars and crepiness of skin, just to name a few.
The procedure is a very precise and controlled which makes it ideal for small areas such as the eye area, mouth area or hands. Dr. Shehla Ebrahim, our physician at Ambleside Dermedics, uses a controlled beam of energy allowing for exact penetration of depth into the dermis in order to vaporize the damaged cells. The most popular treatment areas are the face, neck, chest and hands, although most skin areas can be treated.
What can you expect? A successful laser treatment can “reset the clock” back several years especially if proper skin care is initiated to protect the treated skin from further damage. Fine lines and wrinkles will improve, skin texture will be smoothed and sun damage will diminish. Patients with severe wrinkles and sun damage may need more than 1 treatment.
In order to achieve dramatic improvements, higher energy settings are used for deeper resurfacing. Downtime, therefore, usually lasts at least 10 days. Healing time will depend on the depth of the treatment.
